Greetings NJ Homeschoolers,
Hoping your summer has been not only enjoyable, but also productive. Make the most of the occasional good days that come along. As we continue to plan out our remaining days of summer, we can be assured that God is always on the throne. God does not take vacations or holidays.
“My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.”
Psalms 121:2-4 KJV
Be continually reassured that no matter what season of life we are in right now, God is always working on our behalf, according to His good pleasure.
“Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:”
Ephesians 1:9 KJV
Whether working or playing, continue to be mindful of God’s ever near presence in your life.

WHY WOULD GOD WANT ME?
Author Unknown
I'm not perfect. I have all kinds of problems. I have no ability. I have no gifts. I'm just not worthy. Why would God want me?
Well, did you know that:
Moses stuttered.
David's armor didn't fit.
John Mark deserted Paul.
Timothy had ulcers.
Hosea's wife was a prostitute.
Amos' only training was in the school of fig-tree pruning.
Jacob was a liar.
David had an affair.
Solomon was too rich.
Jesus was too poor.
Abraham was too old.
David was too young.
Peter was afraid of death.
Lazarus was dead.
John was self-righteous.
Naomi was a widow.
Paul was a persecutor of the church.
Moses was a murderer.
Jonah ran from God's will.
Miriam was a gossip.
Gideon and Thomas both doubted.
Jeremiah was depressed and suicidal.
Elijah was burned out.
John the Baptist was a loudmouth.
Martha was a worry-wart.
Noah got drunk.
Did I mention that Moses had a short fuse?
So did Peter, Paul - well, lots of folks did.
But God doesn't require a job interview for salvation. He's our Heavenly Father. He doesn't look at financial gain or loss. He's not prejudiced or partial, not judging, grudging, sassy, or brassy, not deaf to our cry, not blind to our need. He know who we are and what we are and loves us in spite of ourselves
SATAN SAYS, "YOU'RE NOT WORTHY."
JESUS SAYS, "SO WHAT? I AM."
SATAN LOOKS BACK AND SEES OUR MISTAKES.
GOD LOOKS BACK AND SEES THE CROSS.
He doesn't calculate how you failed in the past. It does not matter. It is NOT ON GOD’S RECORD!
Sure, there are lots of reasons why God shouldn't call us. But if we are in love with Him, if we hunger for Him, He'll use us in spite of who we are, where we've been, what we have done, or the fact that we are not perfect!

ALWAYS STRIVE BE A SPECTACULARLY BRIGHT LIGHT IN THIS VERY DARK WORLD! --
There is only one life to live... Live in such a way as not to have any regrets...
Only what is done for Christ will last for all eternity!
We believe that the Bible is the inerrant, inspired word of God - the final authority for all truth and practice. In other words, it is God’s handbook for life. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NKJV) tells us, “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
We are looking for a person or two who would serve as a liaison for HSLDA and ENOCH in serving the homeschool community and the politicians in Trenton. Liaison should possess knowledge in the legislative process in New Jersey, including how a bill is introduced, the hearing and voting requirements of the N.J. Assembly and Senate, as well as the governor’s final approval. Liaison must also be familiar with the regulatory agencies and law in New Jersey where such agencies or laws could have an impact on home education. These include the Department of Education, the Division of Family Services, and the Child Advocate’s Office. Other responsibilities would include: interfacing with HSLDA regarding legal threats to homeschooling freedoms in New Jersey; communicate to the ENOCH board regarding any local, state, national or international threats to homeschooling freedoms; communicate in writing – clearly outlining any threat to home education along with any recommended actions; communicate orally – to testify at Senate or Assembly hearings, and as needed with regulatory agencies; to recommend to the ENOCH board how and what to communicate to the public, including the press, regarding home education and any bills or laws related to homeschooling in New Jersey.
