From the President’s Desk
Dear Friends,
Why are you homeschooling? That’s a question that you may have heard a lot, especially when you first started homeschooling, from family and friends and maybe even from total strangers. So why homeschool? Have you thought about that recently? Maybe you should.
While attending the National Leadership Conference for Homeschoolers and the HSLDA’s Leadership Conference several of the speakers asked that very question. They also answered it. Here are some answers:
- Home-educating our children for the here and now but also for future generations. The love of homeschooling should be passed on from you to your children, to your grandchildren, and so on.
- Home-educate to give them a strong faith. It is a wonderful heritage for your children to go out into the world with a strong deep faith.
- Home-educate to give them a Christian worldview. So many teens today cannot see the difference in the world they live in from the one they are bound for.
- Home-educate your children to change the world. Your child can be the next attorney or judge or Senator or President that will influence the world for God.
- Home-educate to discipleship. Give your children a heart to follow and serve God. So many families busy themselves with a good education in hopes of a scholarship. But what of their souls and the souls of others?
These are just a few of the reasons to home educate you child. I pray your vision has been refocused and gently reminded that our children are the future of what God has in store for us.

Here are the deadlines for the upcoming ENOCH of NJ e-Newsletters. The deadlines are firm and coordinated so that we can get you a fresh newsletter by the first of each month. Thanks.
November 2011: Tuesday, October 25th
December 2011: Friday, November 25th
January 2012: Wednesday, December 21st (PLEASE NOTE DATE CHANGE DUE TO HOLIDAYS)
Send all submissions to (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). This deadline serves the purpose of allowing time for editing and formatting the newsletter in order that time-sensitive information can be posted and mailed in a timely manner.
Final editing begins at the deadline. Submissions prior to the deadline are always welcome and encouraged.
Posting and emailing is normally by the 1st of the month (except for the June issue).
