From the President’s Desk

Friends,

I just returned from spending a week as a counselor at a Christian camp up in the Adirondack Mountains. The boys learned of the Savior and His love for them while they were there. Many did not want to leave the last Friday morning. One 9-year boy cried Thursday evening because he did not want to go home.  He came from a sad home situation in New York City.

While I was there, I lived with six 12-year-olds. In working and taking care of them, I was reminded of why my wife and I homeschool our girls.  One of my boys made a comment to a friend of his that he studied 3 to 4 hours a day during the summer so that he could get into a good college some day. And he’s only 12-years old! It’s not just about educating our children, but the importance of spiritual training.

Let us remember that we are preparing our children to love and serve the Lord with all -their heart, with all their soul, and with all their mind. It’s not just an education of book learning but of their spiritual training as well. As you begin this new school year, let this be your goal and motive.

 Here are the fall deadlines for the ENOCH of NJ e-Newsletters.  The deadlines are firm and coordinated so that we can get you a fresh newsletter by the first of each month.    Thanks.

October  2009 issue: Thursday, September  24
November  2009 issue: Sunday , October 25
December 2009 issue:  Tuesday, November 24

Send all submissions to (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).  This deadline serves the purpose of allowing time for editing and formatting the newsletter in order that time-sensitive information can be posted and mailed in a timely manner.

Final editing begins at the deadline.  Submissions prior to the deadline are always welcome and encouraged.
 
Posting and emailing is normally by the 1st of the month (except for the June issue).
