|Our Mission Statement: Alliance of Home Educators is a Judeo-Christian-based, not-for-profit, educational organization striving for the alliance of all home educators through networking and providing AHE programs to enhance the educational opportunities of home-educated children.
The Alliance of Home Educators has been started in order to be an umbrella organization for all homeschoolers and smaller support groups in the central New Jersey area. AHE\\\'s purpose is to hold large-scale events like science fairs, graduations, talent shows, sports, academic competitions, etc., for our membership. Our intent is to alleviate the pressure on smaller groups to put on these events for their membership, thus sacrificing what they do best: emotional support. We are not a support group. Our purpose is to complement existing support groups and offer educational and social events to those home educators not presently affiliated with a support group.
There are two levels of membership. Large and small support groups may register for free to become Affiliate Groups. Affiliate Groups will be listed in our Affiliate Group Directory. The other level is Program Members. This is for individual families. Families who are already members in Affiliate Groups will receive a discount on their membership dues. The Program Member dues are $50 a year and an Affiliate Group Program Member dues are $35.
Members will receive a monthly newsletter from Sept.- June, and will be able to participate in the many activities planned.
Activities planned include: \\\"Not-back-to-school\\\" day, Family Square Dance, Used Curriculum Sale, Ice Skating, Math Team, Wordmasters, Morris Museum Lending Program, Family Campout, Biography Day, Career Day, Science Fair, Geography Day, Debate Meet, Field Day, Prom, Talent Show, Yearbook, Promotion Night/Graduation. This is a tentative schedule. Events will be added as needed.
