Group Description:
From its inception, the purpose of Redeemed Homeschool Co-op has been to provide a loving, educational, and safe Christian environment for all families involved. Redeemed has been established for the purpose of enhancing, not replacing, the children’s home education. Each individual Homeschool family is responsible for the education of their children. Redeemed focuses on a Biblical and Eclectical approach with an emphasis on a Christian Worldview. Redeemed provides courses that will assist each family in supplying a well rounded Christian education for their children. Redeemed also has a strong focus on Godly character development within a group environment. For 2009-2010, Redeemed will be offering two programs on Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Both the academic and fine arts programs, which run simultaneously, meet in Vernon Township, NJ. Families can enroll in either the academic or fine arts program or both. Please note that only families enrolled in the academic program are allowed to vote or be considered for council positions. There will be a mandatory Membership/Orientation meeting on Saturday, April 18, 2009 from 2:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. for those interested in learning more about this co-op. Please call or e-mail the contact information for Handbook and additional information. Classes are offered from Pre-K to 12th grade. A nursery is provided for children 0-3 yrs. old. Academic classes include: Language Arts, foreign languages (Spanish, Arabic, Latin), Unit Study (Pre-k to 8th grade) that covers American history, science, Bible, and hands-on projects. Other courses for Jr. & Sr. high include: Pre-Algebra, Algebra 2, American History, Finances, Evangelism, Intro. to Argumentation & Debate, Grammar & Composition, and Literature Analysis. The Fine arts program will include music lessons (strings, piano, guitar), drama, Hebrew dance, and Lego club.
