Group Description:
North Jersey Home Schoolers Assocation is an open Christian support group of over 300 families. The group is currently organized into 8 Local Support Groups (LSGs). The LSGs are designated by geographic location, covering Bergen, Essex, Morris, Passaic, and Hudson Counties and other counties! For information, please call the Hotline. // Leadership of NJHSA is Christian. It is composed of a Board with each LSG having representation and an Executive Committee elected by the General Membership. The Board meets through out the year. Members are expected to contribute to the success of NJHSA. The group is as helpful to the members as the members are willing to put time into it. // Membership entitles the family to: our monthly newsletter (from NJHSA and your LSG) - our Annual Directory - our Membership Handbook - access to our Resource Library Network. // Membership dues are annual. // NJHSA offers it membership: Opening Day Picnics (North and South) - Curriculum Fair - Science Fair - Spelling Bee - Annual Shakespeare Competition - Annual Jr & Sr High Academic Competition - 8th & 12th Grade Commencement. It has also offered Toastmasters classes, high school science labs, chorus, drama, etc. Individual LSGs offer to their members - Young Author Clubs, Activity Days, younger chorus, field trips, Book-it, etc. Feel free to go to our website for more information on how to join.
